Dr. Suzanne Everhart
Dr. Suzanne Everhart is an eye physician and surgeon with over 20 years experience in helping patients with their vision needs. She is board certified in Ophthalmology.
Dr. Everhart is a graduate of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. There, she received the Hoecht-Roussel Award for Clinical Excellence in Surgery. Following completion of medical school, she did her residency at Tulsa Regional Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla. At that time, she received extensive training in cataract, glaucoma, eye trauma and retinal disorders, and the use of state-of-the-art techniques and technology in their treatment.
Following her residency, Dr. Everhart joined the Eye Specialists practice in Virginia Beach. She also was an adjunct faculty member in the Ophthalmology Residency Program at Eastern Virginia Medical School and participated in the clinical and surgical training of Ophthalmology residents. In 1994, she established her own practice, Everhart Eye Associates, in Ashland, Va.
Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Everhart took pre-med courses at Virginia Commonwealth University. She also received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and management from the school, and graduated magna cum laud.
Dr. Everhart has been actively in engaged in a variety of professional organizations. From 2004 to 2008, she served on the Virginia State Board of Medicine. She also is a member of the Board of Directors of the Virginia Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons from 2006 to present. She is the immediate past President of the Virginia Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
