Everhart Eye Associates assists patients with:

Cataracts

A cataract is a painless clouding of the eye’s lens. This can result in blurred vision. Some patients need only better lighting or glasses to deal with cataracts. Others require surgery to remove the natural lens and to replace it with a manmade one. Surgery is generally safe, effective and painless.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is a major cause of blindness. This condition produces progressive and permanent loss of vision by damaging the optic nerve. Treatment options include eye drops and laser and filtering surgery.

OMNI® Surgical System

Eyelid spasms

This condition occurs when the eyelid twitches involuntarily. Causes vary but may include fatigue or irritations of the eye’s surface or eyelid’s membranes. Treatments include rest, reduced caffeine intake, eye drops or botox injections.

Facial rejuvenation

Everyone deserves to look his/her best at every age. Everhart Eye Associates helps patients enhance their appearance by offering treatments that smooth facial skin and enhance eyelash length, thickness and tone.

Macular degeneration

This is a disease that typically affects people over age 60. Macular degeneration results in the loss of central vision. It affects the macula, which allows viewing of fine detail. This condition is painless and progressive. Treatment options depend on the type of macular degeneration. However, vitamin therapy and drug regimens are possibilities.

Refractive lens surgery

This also is known as a refractive lens exchange (RLE). This procedure can address astigmatism and near and farsightedness. RLE also can reduce or eliminate the need for glasses or contacts. During refractive lens surgery, the eye’s clear lens is removed and is replaced with an artificial one. This new technological advance in refractive surgery serves two purposes – correcting vision and preventing cataracts. After this procedure, near and distant vision can be restored. RLE patients will never develop cataracts as their natural lens has been removed.
